The C3 CPTH1835 tool is a CNC-machined 30 mm adapter socket for servicing the frame-mounted coolant pipe used with the CATH1594 in-frame thermostat installation on supported KTM-family motorcycles. It gives the installer a dedicated way to engage the original 30 mm hex in a confined area.

Why it matters
On affected motorcycles, a plastic tube threads into the radiator Y-piece inside the frame and must be removed before the CATH1594 thermostat can be installed. C3 notes that the molded hex can be too rounded for some 12-point sockets. A six-point 30 mm socket can work, but this adapter is shaped for the task and can also assist when threading the C3 thermostat into position.

The listing supplies one CPTH1835 30 mm adapter tool. The CATH1594 thermostat kit, ratchet or driver, coolant, seals, and general hand tools are not included unless a selected option explicitly states otherwise.
Fitment and installation
The tool is only needed on the supported applications that use this removable frame pipe; it is not required for every C3 thermostat or every KTM, Husqvarna, or GasGas model. Use the live product selection as the ordering reference. Read the CATH1594 procedure before beginning. Work on a fully cold and depressurized cooling system, engage the hex squarely, and avoid side-loading or overtightening the plastic component. After thermostat installation, refill and bleed the system according to the motorcycle manufacturer’s instructions, then inspect for leaks through a complete heat cycle.
