C3 NXT Shield Expanders add wind, snow, and branch coverage to the FORCEFIELD NXT handguard system without enclosing the rider’s hands inside a fixed muff. They are shaped specifically to fit behind the NXT plastic shields and extend the protected area around the existing hand pocket.

Highlights
The expanders use press-molded foam inside a durable synthetic-leather outer layer. The structure is designed to hold its shape against wind and snow while remaining flexible enough to bend during an impact rather than behaving like another rigid shield. Mounting behind the plastic guard also helps protect the expander material from direct contact.
Coverage choices
C3 offers multiple coverage levels, from a lower-profile extension to a larger design intended for maximum exposure protection. Use the product selector to choose the size and configuration currently offered. The larger shapes are designed to preserve visibility of the controls and allow the rider to remove a hand from the bar normally.
Fitment and installation
These expanders are designed around C3 FORCEFIELD NXT handguards and are not a universal stand-alone handguard. Confirm that the motorcycle already has the compatible NXT shield system. Install each piece behind its plastic shield, align it so control access and lever movement remain unobstructed, and secure it according to C3’s instructions. Check both sides through the full steering range before riding.
