Product details

This is the replaceable temperature-control element used inside C3 thermostat housings. It allows an existing C3 assembly to be serviced or its nominal opening temperature to be changed without replacing the complete housing and bike-specific plumbing.

Manufacturer: C3 Powersports

Why it matters

The thermostat element regulates when coolant is directed through the radiator circuit. Replacing a worn or damaged element restores that function, while choosing a different rating changes the system’s temperature target for a particular engine and operating environment. The element is available in 60, 70, 80, and 90°C ratings. C3 recommends the 90°C element for winter use on four-stroke engines and notes that many two-stroke riders choose a cooler rating.

What’s included

One thermostat element in the temperature selected above is supplied. This listing does not describe a complete thermostat housing, bypass plumbing, hoses, temperature gauge, or installation tool as included parts.

Fitment and service

The element fits C3 thermostat housings, but the correct temperature rating remains an application and setup decision. Select the exact rating offered above and contact Moto365 if the appropriate choice is uncertain. Work only on a fully cooled, depressurized engine. Note the original element orientation and seal arrangement during disassembly, inspect the housing and seals, and follow the applicable C3 service instructions when reassembling. Refill and bleed the cooling system according to the motorcycle manufacturer’s procedure, then inspect for leaks and confirm normal temperature behavior before riding. Never open a hot cooling system.
