Product details

The C3-programmed Vortex ECU is a motorcycle-specific engine-control unit offered with the supported map package selected for the exact bike. Available programming can include standard Vortex calibration or C3-developed snowbike mapping created around snowbike engine load, cold temperatures, changing elevation, and the airflow of a C3 intake.

Manufacturer: C3 Powersports

The package uses Vortex ECU hardware with supported map programming.

Why it matters

The Vortex X10 platform stores multiple maps and uses onboard pressure and temperature inputs to adapt fueling as conditions change. On supported motorcycles, the rider uses the ECU’s map selector and any compatible OEM handlebar control according to the map-settings sheet supplied with that specific unit. Fuel-trim dials provide additional adjustment, but C3 advises leaving the baseline settings unchanged unless the user understands tuning and can verify the result.

Fitment and configuration

Engine mapping is bike-specific. First use the selector to choose the exact make, year, and model; then choose the supported map program offered for that fitment. Never substitute a similar model or adjacent year. Some combinations are offered only with standard Vortex mapping. Aftermarket stators can be incompatible with aftermarket ECUs. Highly modified engines may require calibration by an authorized, experienced tuner and air-fuel-ratio verification.

Installation and records

Keep the ECU box, serial-number information, map-settings sheet, installation instructions, and troubleshooting guide. Follow those documents for connection, map selection, and starting procedure. A functioning thermostat is required for the intended operating-temperature range. Confirm the selected map and fuel type before starting, preserve stable battery voltage, and do not alter trim settings without recording the baseline. If the exact motorcycle is not listed, contact Moto365 rather than ordering a close match.
